The pedgrp.dat
file is located in the .\data
directory of GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas, or the .\common\data
directory of GTA IV. It contains a list of ped groups for a zone.
GTA III and Vice City
Each entry in the file contains a number of ped model names which forms a group. The script calls opcode 0324 to assign a ped group entry to a zone. This determines which ped models the game will spawn when the player is in the zone. In GTA III, an entry contains eight names. In Vice City, it contains 16 names.
