Metadata Files are XML files used to change various aspects of the game. They are commonly saved with the .meta and .xml extension and can be opened and edited by standard text editors.
In some cases, metadata files are compressed in the PSO and RBF resource formats. Compressed Metadata files are saved with the .#mt extension and require specialized tools such as CodeWalker or OpenIV to edit.
