Due to the lack of official modding support from GTA's developers, Rockstar North, the modding community is collecting information on how the game works and how user-created content can be implemented. This is a long and complicated process, but in recent years, most hurdles have been cleared, and many great mods have been released or are currently in development.
By improving and extending our documentation, you can help to keep the GTA modding community alive. A great source of information is the GTAForums modding discussions, but most facts are scattered and need revision.
