Should we end years of confusion and stick to the term 'Script' instead of the 'Thread'? Based upon opcodes names we know that originally each particular set of instructions was called a script (TERMINATE_THIS_SCRIPT, START_NEW_SCRIPT). GTA 3 source proves the same thing: CRunningScript, CTheScripts. We know that script system in GTA is not multi-threaded, so the term thread confuses beginners, who think that scripts are running in parallel, not one by one. I guess it's time to make a tough decision and finally stop calling a thing being Script as Thread. Seemann (talk) 14:07, 17 June 2015 (UTC)

::Yes, however changing the SB's files must be done very carefully not to break existing scripts. Renaming threads to scripts is just a one step in a series of changes we need to make to fix all the misunderstandings gathered over the years. SA SCR mode in SB perfectly suits our needs: theres a nice unharmed ini file where all the parameters are in correct order, no wrong keywords, no broken classes. We could try to do everything right once and for all.  Seemann (talk) 18:42, 17 June 2015 (UTC)

Can anyone please finish this article by adding the missing GTA IV Native functions? Thank you! --Aschratt - oO 13:49, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

Thread->Script

Do you think this should also apply outside the site like the forums and your tool? I like using the intended names.--Spaceeinstein (talk) 17:23, 17 June 2015 (UTC)
Yes, however changing the SB's files must be done very carefully not to break existing scripts.
