SET_CHAR_SUFFERS_CRITICAL_HITS
Description
- Sets the character's ability to be dismembered
Syntax
- 0446: set_actor [char handle] dismemberment_possible [int]
Parameter
- [char handle]
- The handle of the character
- [int]
- 0 = disable dismemberment, 1 = enable dismemberment
This opcode sets the character's ability to be dismembered. Limb shots and notably headshots are critical hits, each with unique animations, and characters will die instantly from those hits. When dismemberment is disabled, these points are no longer critical hits. In GTA III, limb shots will physically break the limbs away from the characters. In GTA III and Vice City, headshots will make the head disappear. This opcode was never called in the original script of GTA III.
